General Management Programme (GMP)
Admissions :
Eligibility :
Candidates applying for One Year General Management Programme must :
Hold a minimum of three years Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University in India/abroad in any discipline.
Be employed in a full-time job, with at least five years, measured in terms of calendar months, of relevant managerial experience as on March 31, 2012 in any public/ private/ government/ non-government organization after graduation.

Application Process :
A candidate has the option of either taking XAT 2012 or submitting the GMAT Scores. Those taking XAT need to register for XAT 2012, being held on January 08, 2012. The last date of registration is November 30, 2011.
Others should send their GMAT score, which is taken between January 1, 2009 to December 31, 2011 along with their XLRI PP GMAT Form and demand draft to XLRI, Jamshedpur by January 5, 2012.
Stage 1 : Applying through GMAT/XAT
Prerequisites for GMAT Applicants :
All GMAT applicants must take their GMAT between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2011 and they also need to submit demand draft of Rs 950.00 (or a DD/ Banker’s cheque of US$ 50 for NRI applicants) in favor of " XLRI Jamshedpur A/c Prospectus " payable at Jamshedpur.

Stage 2 : Announcement of selected candidates
The names of the short listed candidates are declared by end of January 2012. The short listed candidates have to answer online Questionnaire before the interview.
Stage 3 : Interview Process
The interviews will be conducted between end of February and mid of March 2012 in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Jamshedpur only.
Stage 4 : Result Announcement
Selected candidates after interview will be intimated via mail along with an offer letter for XLRI-GMP programme 2012-13 by end of March 2012.
Stage 5 : Acceptance of Admission Offer
Candidate willing to accept the admission offer for GMP 2012-13 programme has to remit the first installment of the fees to XLRI, latest by end of April.
Academic Evaluation System :
The institute's evaluation system is designed to continually assess the students' performance in relation to the required standards of academic achievement. Apart from examinations, a student's performance is assessed on the basis of class participation, preparation of periodic assignments, mid-term tests and quizzes. As specified in the Manual of Policies, the institute expects a minimum for the award of the diploma.
Fees :
Fees and other charges for one year General Management Programme (GMP) will be approximately Rs. 14,50,000/- (or equivalent in $ US) for the academic year 2012 - 2013, plus service tax. Food, electricity and other personal expenses would be charged extra depending on the type of accommodation preferred by the student.
