    POST DOCTORAL / GRADUATE FELLOWSHIP ADMISSIONS August 2012


    THE APPLICATION PROCESS :
    Application forms can be accessed only on-line through the College website onhttp://home.cmcvellore.ac.in/admissions/admin.htm till 5th April 2012 and submitted with a basic administrative fee of Rs.1000/-. Candidates applying from SAARC countries should send Rs.2000/- or its equivalent and those from other foreign countries US dollars 100 or its equivalent.

    Money can be remitted using any of the following methods :
    1. Demand draft in favour of “C.M.C. Vellore Association a/c” on any scheduled bank, payable in Vellore.
    2. As a challan at no extra cost at any branch of ICICI bank in India. Please mention ‘FC – CMC – V’ on the challan.
    Send the DD, original payment Challan or receipt to : Office of the Registrar, CMC, Thorapadi PO, Vellore 632002. State your full postal address with Pin-code. Mention your telephone number and email address if available. No additional money, stamps or envelopes are required.

    ADMISSION TIME TABLE 2012 :
    5th April 2012 - Last date for access of online application forms
    9th April 2012 - Last date for receipt of completed application forms
    16th April 2012 - Last date for receipt of completed sponsorship forms
    18th May 2012 - Written test at various centres (Afternoon 2:00 pm to 3.00 pm)
    25th May 2012 - Announcement of list of candidates who qualify for interview and practical tests (Evening)
    25th June 2012 - Medical examination
    26th June 2012 - Interviews and practical tests in Town Campus, Vellore.
    27th June 2012 - Announcement of final selection list
    28th June 2012 - Acceptance by 10.00 am
    16th July 2012 - Registration for the course
    17th July 2012 - Courses begin

    INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS :
    PLEASE DOWNLOAD THE BULLETIN AND READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE FILLING THE FORM.

    THE INFORMATION PROVIDED ON THE APPLICATION FORM WILL BE TAKEN AS FINAL. ACCESS FORMS ONLINE :
    1. Fill the form online and click submit. If successful, a message will appear on the screen with instructions
    2. Take a printout of the form. A provisional registration slip will also be printed at the same time.
    3. Check the details for accuracy. Paste a recent photograph (passport size) on it and sign the form.
    4. Make your PAYMENT by one of the methods mentioned on page 1
    5. Send in the signed form with proof of payment and other required ENCLOSURES to the Office of the Registrar, CMC, Vellore – 632 002 to reach on or before the last date.

    Please keep your application number and Registration number safely to
    access your hall ticket and results from the website.

    Please note :
    1. CANDIDATES MAY NOT APPLY FOR MORE THAN TWO COURSES.
    2. NO CANDIDATE WILL BE ALLOWED TO CHANGE THE CHOICE OF SUBJECT
    3. That you ensure that the application form is complete
    4. That Self – attested clear photo copies of Certificate of completion of Sponsorship obligation (applicable to those who have been sponsored previously) signed by the authorised signatory of the sponsoring body need to be enclosed
    5. Candidates are advised to submit their applications as early as possible. Applicants employed in Government or similar establishments who have to route their applications through “proper channels” for the purpose of permission/leave, etc., are advised to submit an application as detailed above for the desired course, complete with all the required enclosures directly to Office of the Registrar before the closing date. A photocopy of the completed application may be routed through the “proper channels”. This would avoid rejection of the applications from such candidates due to
    receipt after the closing date on account of delays in various sanctioning offices

    6. Completed applications with all the required enclosures must reach the Office of the Registrar, Christian Medical College, Vellore 632 002, on or before 9th April 2012.
    APPLICATIONS RECEIVED AFTER THIS TIME LIMIT WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
    Applications which lack any of the required enclosures will also not be considered after 9th April 2012.

    7. All foreign students require a “No Objection Certificate” from The Secretary, Government of India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Nirman Bhavan, New Delhi – 110011 after offer of admission to the College.
    SINCE THE APPLICATION FORM IS READ BY A COMPUTER, FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY.
    FILL IN ALL THE DATA PROPERLY. MAKE SURE THAT THE CORRECT CODE NUMBERS ARE FILLED IN UNAMBIGUOUSLY IN THE CLEAR TEXT FORMAT AS SHOWN. ERRORS ARISING OUT OF INCORRECT OR
    IMPROPER DATA ENTRY WILL BE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CANDIDATE.

    HALL TICKETS :
    Hall Tickets are generated and available at the link http://home.cmcvellore.ac.in/admissions/admin.htm after 1st May 2012. Please access the website and print it out. Check for accuracy of detail. In case of nonreceipt or availability of the hall ticket one week prior to the date of the written test, candidates may contact the Office of the Registrar by post, fax, email or the telephone. Please keep your application/registration number handy.

    ENTRANCE TESTS : (See also Annexure 1)
    Candidates for all Fellowship courses conducted by the College are ranked on the basis of a written test, clinical examination and interview.
    1. The written test will be conducted at Bangalore, Calicut, Chennai, Delhi,
    Ernakulam, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kottayam, Lucknow, Madurai,
    Mumbai, Puducherry, Salem, Trivandrum, Vellore and Vijayawada.
    2. The written test paper consists of multiple choice questions in the speciality for which the candidate has applied.
    The duration of the paper is 1 hour (50 questions). All candidates who wish to take the written test are required to be in their assigned seats at the time, date and place stipulated on the Hall ticket. No candidate will be permitted to enter the examination hall after 30 minutes of the stipulated examination commencement time.
    For those taking the exams in Vellore: Please note that accommodation will not be available in the Hospital Annexe or any of the institutional guest houses or hostels during this period for candidates.
