BE Project: Electronic System for improved working of AC bench Tester at TATA MOTORS, PUNE

Description: This is project done which is done at ERC (Engineering Research Center), at TATA MOTORS PUNE. An electronic system is designed to improve the performance and the working of Bench Test Facility at Climate control lab. The purpose of this electronic system is to acquire the pressure, temperature and speed of the BTF in order to test, characterize, confirm and control the operation of the BTF.The project aims to implement pressure tripping circuit, temperature tripping circuit, speed measurement and serial communication through LAN.A visual basic software is used to display these parameters acquired remotely on PC.The main advantage of this system is that it enhances the system performance. The designed system is been implemented in the a/c bench tester of the climate control lab, ERC. The main goal of this project is to communicate between two devices that have the CAN interface by implementing the CAN protocol between two devices.
CDAC project: Implementation of CAN Protocol
The CAN protocol is an ISO standard protocol. The CAN implementation provides functionality to transmit and receive CAN messages data using a variety of low level communication devices. The embedded controller which we used for this project is ARM7TDMI LPC2129, low cost and low power consumption controller. The software tools which we used for this project are IAR embedded Workbench 4.41A as an IDE and Philip Flash Utility (2.2.3 version) for porting the Hex code. An external circuitry is used to test the communication between the two devices. A potentiometer is used to apply the analog input to the ADC of the ARM board, a set of LED’s are used to display the output and variation in input
