MBBS, BSc (N) and other AHS Degree & Diploma Courses Admission 2012 :
THE APPLICATION PROCESS : Application forms, Prospectus & Bulletin can be obtained from 21st March 2012 as follows :
1. From select Head Post offices (refer website for the list of post offices) on direct payment of Rs.850/-

2. From the Office of the Registrar on payment of Rs.850/- as a Demand Draft in favour of “CMC Vellore Association” on any scheduled bank, payable at Vellore OR as a chalan at any branch of the ICICI bank in India, mentioning FC-CMC-V on the chalan. The DD or original chalan can also be sent with a letter requesting for the Prospectus and application form for 2012 to The Office of the Registrar, CMC, Thorapadi PO, Vellore – 632 002 (Phone +91 (416) 2284255). State your full postal address with pin-code. Mention your telephone number and e-mail address if available. No additional money, stamps or envelopes are required.

3. You may apply online at the CMC website http://home.cmcvellore.ac.in/admissions/admin.htm on or before 14th April 2012. Admission Bulletin maybe downloaded free from the CMC website. The basic administrative fee is Rs.800/- for online application. The last date for submission of the printed online application form is 16th April 2012.
ELIGIBILITY :
The following qualifications are considered equivalent to the Plus Two Examination of the Higher Secondary Board of Tamil Nadu for the purpose of admission. (Subject to Eligibility Certificate issued by the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai, where applicable).
** Intermediate examination, Pre-Degree Examination or Plus Two Examination of any recognised Indian University or State Board.
** The Senior Higher School Certificate Examination (12 years) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi (examination held in 1979 or thereafter with not less than 5 subjects, of which English shall be one).
** The Indian School Certificate Examination (12 years) conducted by the Council for Indian School Examination (held in 1977 or thereafter).
** Intermediate Examination (two year course) conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh.
** Pre-University Examination (two year course) conducted by the Board of Pre-University Education, Government of Karnataka.
For candidates who have studied abroad, the equivalency of qualification as determined by the Association of Indian Universities will form the guidelines to determine the eligibility. Please note that these are only guidelines and candidates who have qualified overseas must get in touch with the Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University (see website www.tnmmu.ac.in for details). For courses where Graduation or Diploma is required, the guideline would be recognition by the registering University or affiliating body or by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu. Whereas those who are doing their examinations may apply, the responsibility is on the candidate that mark-sheets and pass certificates must be available by the time of the interviews.
Those already employed :
Candidates currently holding appointments in Government or Private Institutions who seek admission to courses should obtain a NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE from the employer stating that ‘necessary permission has been given to the candidate who will be released for Registration for admission to the (name of course) course in the Christian Medical College’. In case of a delay in getting permission, kindly submit the application form in original to the Registrar’s Office within the stipulated date and send in the certificate later with a covering note.
* Eligibility Certificate – Candidates who have passed any qualifying examination other than the Higher Secondary course examination conducted by the Government of Tamilnadu shall obtain an eligibility
certificate from the University by remitting the prescribed fee along with the application form before seeking admission to any one of the affiliated Medical Institutions.
THE SELECTION PROCESS :
All candidates whose applications are in order and complete will be registered and will go through the competitive process of Entrance Examinations and Interviews for selection. All admissions are based on
inter-se merit. The College recognises that merit is not merely academic merit but is, in addition, a collection of various other factors, which go towards suitability to pursue a professional career.
The selection process / admission will be subject to any orders passed or that may be passed by the Government / University / Professional Councils.
THE DECISION OF THE SELECTION COMMITTEE IS FINAL.
HALL TICKETS :
Hall Tickets will be available on the website to download, 15 days before the examination. Separate hall tickets will be issued for the two groups of courses (A & B).
If a candidate is unable to get the Hall Ticket either by post or from the website 7 days before their entrance examination, they are advised to INFORM THE REGISTRAR, giving full address, the candidate's name, application number, and centre opted for writing the Entrance Test and a fax number if possible, by sending either a fax to 0416 – 2262788/2262268 (giving the above mentioned details and the fax number with STD code for us to send a reply fax) or an email to registrar@cmcvellore.ac.in. A duplicate hall ticket or the hall ticket number and address of the centre will be intimated. Use the Hall ticket number and paste a photograph on a blank sheet of paper, sign it and present it at the examination.
ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS :
There will be examinations for all the courses as detailed in the table on page 1. The entrance examination for the Group A & B Courses will be on Friday, 18th May 2012 at the following centres.
Group A & B :
BANGALORE, CALICUT, CHENNAI, DELHI, ERNAKULAM, GUWAHATI, HYDERABAD, KOLKATTA, KOTTAYAM, LUCKNOW, MADURAI, MUMBAI, PUDUCHERRY, SALEM, THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, VELLORE, VIJAYAWADA & PENANG (MALAYSIA)
The Group A and Group B Science examination will consist of multiple-choice questions in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Ability with emphasis on Speed and Accuracy and a few questions on issues of current topical interest. The examination will be conducted in ENGLISH. Sample questions are given in Annexure III (“Information on Written Tests”). Performance in this examination will be the basis for being called for the interviews, practical tests and final selections. At the time of the interviews for MBBS, Nursing, Allied Health Science (Degree) courses, Christian students who have applied under the sponsored category will be given a test of Bible Knowledge (50 multiple choice questions). The General
Paper (Non Science) will consist of multiple choice questions of a general nature, including very basic science, general knowledge, current awareness and general ability.

I am completed DMLT(SLR&TC.KARIGIRI). Especially, I learned Histopathology, microbiology, biochemistry.I will do well best for my job.please kindly refer me.
