The Centre invites applications from eligible candidates for selection and appointment to the post mentioned below:
Name of the post : Accounts Officer
Pay band and Grade Pay : Rs.15,600-39,100 + Rs.5,400
No. of vacancies : One
Essential qualifications :
(i)A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
(ii)5 years of Supervisory experience in accounts in a Government/Semi-Government/Public Sector/Autonomous Organisation/Educational Institution of higher learning.
Desirable :
(i)CA/ICWA/M.Com or Pass in SOG examination of Indian Audit & Accounts Department or equivalent.
(ii)Knowledge of Central Government Service and financial rules and regulations.
(iii)Knowledge/Experience of Computer application in administration/accounts for information processing and retrieval.
Job requirements :
The selected candidate should be able to deal with compilation of Budget, maintenance of Cash and Bank Accounts, General and Subsidiary Ledgers, preparation of Statement of Receipts and Payments and Balance Sheet, matters involving import of equipment and components, investment of funds and audit requirements. Rendering periodical and annual statements to project leaders and funding agencies and perform other duties assigned from time to time. Any other items relating to administration/accounts that may be assigned to balance the work load.
Age limit for direct recruits :
Not exceeding 40 years (Relaxable up to 5 years for employees of Govt./PSU/ Autonomous Bodies /CSMR/Universities and candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBCs etc. as per Central Govt. Rules).
