Nature of Duties :
- Conducting / witnessing welder Performance Qualifications Tests as per ASME IX & Project / Client Specifications.
- Maintaining & controlling the welders Qualification records, Renewal of certificates etc. by utilizing Microsoft Access program and reporting to QA/QC Manager.
- Performing the Calibration of in-house equipments(welding machines, Electrode ovens, measuring tools etc.) arranging for calibration of tools requires external third party Co. by utilizing Microsoft Access program and reporting to QA/QC Manager.
- Preparing and Witnessing of PQR and WPS as per ASME IX & Project / Client Specifications.
- Reviewing the Project specifications and Preparing RFI’s/Concession requests, Quality control procedures, ITP etc.
- Incoming base and filler material inspections and reviewing the material test certificates as per ASME Section II Part A & C and client specifications.
- Monitoring and inspecting different type of Welding process such as SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW & SAW. (Filler wire control, Fit-up, Pre-heat temp., Interpass temp., Heat input, and welding inspection etc.)
- Visual Inspection of Pre-fabricated piping spools, vessels etc. as per drawings and approved working procedures and ITP.
- Witnessing the PWHT and NDE Activities.
- Monitoring and Inspection of painting related activities. (Checking the whether conditions, Cleanliness’ of Pipes, Storage of Paints etc.)
- Inspection of Surface/blasting profile, WFT and DFT measurements etc.
- Preparing Blasting & Painting inspection report.
- Final package review (MTRs, Drawings, NDT reports, surface preparation and painting reports) and QC release (Piping spools).
- Arranging & coordinating of inspection activates with clients and third party inspectors.
