SPECIAL RECRUITMENT DRIVE FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES (PWDs) – 3rd Attempt

CPCL invites applications from Persons with Disabilities of Indian Nationality for the position of Senior Officer (Research & Development) (No. of vacancy – 1) in the category of Orthopedic Disability with one arm / one leg or Hearing Disability to be selected in the Grade 'B' IDA scale of pay of `29,100–54,500/- (CTC `10 lakhs approx. per annum).

Educational Qualification :
PhD in Chemistry preferably in the field of Analytical / Organic / Petrochemical / Polymers / Heterogeneous catalysis. Candidates with Mathematics as one of the main subject in Graduation shall be preferred. Candidates having knowledge of handling analytical equipments like Gas chromatographs with advanced detectors / NMR / HPLC / TGA / DSC / ICP-MS / Chemisorption analyser etc., and interpretation of data shall be preferred.
Minimum 60% (55% for SC/ST candidates) marks in Graduation as well as in Post Graduation are essential.

Age limit as on 23.03.2012 : 40 years (including relaxation for PwD candidates).

hi right now am a chemical engineering student (ii year).........as a girl does i have a scope of work in cpcl..if so tell me what should i do from now?

I have worked more than 8 years in Tamilnadu PetroProducts Limited, which is very near to (backside) CPCL, and the company is in very similar operations as CPCL. We were not exactly a refinery, but we get kerosene from CPCL through pipeline.

Hence, I believe I can tell from my experience.
In petrochemical companies and refineries, it is difficult to employ females for safety reasons. I have not seen any females in my company (600 employees). I am sure its the same way in CPCL also.

So, there may not be much scope for a chemical Engineer in CPCL.
Remember that I understand that I may be wrong in this conclusion, as its a long time since I moved on.

However, you can apply to all consultancies where female chemical engineers join as process Engineers.

my intention is to work in iocl..but ioc select by GATE scores..

i was said cpcl recruit ppl with interview.is t true???but some ppl in cpcl said ppl selected in iocl will be put in cpcl for work...cpcl select ppl only for handicapped that too once in a year..
i heard money and recommendations have a good shot in recruitment i9n cpcl???how far is that true???
