Description : The Lead Technical Writer will work in the Control Design Automation team and interacts directly with end users to learn about information requirements and writes content to explain to engineers, scientists, and students on how to use sophisticated software to model dynamic and embedded systems. As an integral member of multidisciplinary product teams, the incumbent helps shape the design of cutting-edge software.

Responsibilities :
** Write user-focused content that explains how to use tools to design, model, and simulate engineering systems
** Develop examples and tutorials that show how to use software features that span multiple products
** Work with customers and customer facing groups to identify use cases, workflows, user tasks, and information needs
** Identify missing topics and fill gaps in existing information
** Participate in the software development process, review software requirements and functional designs, provide comments and suggest improvements

Qualifications : The incumbent must have the background and skills for communicating creative ways to use the company’s products to solve challenging problems. Should possess the ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional product teams and a multi-writer team, explain engineering or science concepts in writing and develop and document simple, creative demonstrations of practical solutions. Should possess an aptitude for learning and understanding highly complex technical subjects.
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or other technical area
2. Experience in the area of Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or other technical area
3. Experience writing for a technical audience
4. Understanding of computer science concepts

Desired :
1. PhD or Master’s in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or other technical area
2. Experience using MATLAB, Simulink, or modeling dynamic systems
3. Understanding of computer hardware concepts
4. Knowledge of programming concepts, preferably C, C++
5. Exposure with embedded systems
