1. Academic main project
A) Project name : MACHINING OF COLUMNS IN MACHINE SHOP AND ITS INSTALLATION IN THE STOVES OF BLAST FURNACE
B) Team size : 5 members.
C) Industry : Vishakapatnam Steel Plant, Vishakapatnam.
D) Duration : 30 days (01 Feb 2011 to 03 March 2011)
E) Description : This project deals with the Recyclysation of poisonous Carbon dioxide and Carbon monoxide gasses coming out of Blast Furnaces (BF). They are reused as combustible agents in BF in a reduced time. The BF gas is highly poisonous gas which should not be sent to outside atmosphere. So they are sent to stoves through pipes and they are recycled by reacting them with atmospheric gas from an inlet. The poisonous substances are converted to hot air and sent back to BF to burn coke which in turn burns iron ore.
2. Individual Academic study project :
A)Project name : POWER TRANSMISSION OF FOUR WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE
B)Industry : MEDIKONDA AUTOMOTIVES, GOLAGAMUDI, NELLORE(ANDHRA PRADESH)
C) Description :Learned about all the parts of an automobile. Clear observation is made on the special parts like propeller shaft, universal joints, clutches, gear boxes.
3. Individual Summer training project : WORKSHOP PRACTICES AND APPLICATION OF CAD TOOLS IN DRAFTING AND MODELLING.
A) Industry : SF COMPLEX, DEFENCE AND RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT ORGANISATION, JAGADALPUR (CHATTISGARH).

C) Description : Brief description of all machines in the workshop and operations performed, selection of machining operations, tool specifications. Brief learning of CAD technique in Auto CADD and SOLID WORKS.
