Faculty Positions available in the Department of Microbiology and Cell Biology, Indian Institute of Science

Applications are invited for Assistant Professor position from outstanding scientists, preferably below the age of 35, with a keen interest in teaching. The broad area of Research (http://mcbl.iisc.ernet.in/faculty.html) interest includes, but is not limited to, “Infectious diseases, genetics, development biology, cell biology and emerging inter-disciplinary areas”. In addition to the Central facility (FACS, imaging, spectroscopy ect ) the Department has state-of-the-art facilities to conduct cutting-edge research in biology.

Applicants with a PhD in biological science or in a related discipline, and post-doctoral research experience (3-5 yrs) are encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will build their own research groups, participate in the graduate teaching program and supervise PhD students. Selections are on equal opportunity basis.
