Qualifications & Experience :
**Professor
Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of 10 years experience of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor.

**Associate Professor
Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of 8 years experience of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor.

**Assistant Professor
Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and at least 3 years industrial/research/teaching experience.

**Lecturer
Ph.D./B.Tech with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout.

An outstanding engineer/technologist working in industry and with established reputation, and who has made significant contribution to knowledge but not having a Ph.D. degree could also be considered for appointment to the post of Associate Professor/Professor on contract basis. Such appointment will be made only sparingly and in extremely deserving cases with the approval of Chairman & Governing Council.
