RESEARCHERS WANTED NATIONAL MARITIME FOUNDATION

1. The National Maritime Foundation (NMF) is an autonomous, third generation think tank which undertakes research and studies in all fields of maritime activity. NMF’s aim is to serve as a focal point for research on maritime issues and subjects; to enhance public awareness of India’s maritime heritage, assets and customs; and shape public opinion on its importance in the current geo-political context. NMF seeks to be in a position to provide policy options to the highest decision makers for evolving a coherent and vibrant national maritime policy.

2. NMF seeks young bright individuals with a strong interest in maritime affairs as Researchers/Research Assistants to undertake research on associated topics and be involved in the “institution building process of the NMF”. Research contracts would be, in the first instance, for one year duration. The contract is subject to further renewal on performance based appraisal.

** Capacity Buildup & Revitalisation of :
o Ports & Infrastructure
o Shipbuilding/Ship repair
o Fisheries o Human Resource Development
** Maritime Environmental Issues.
** Energy Security – Maritime Dimensions
** Revitalisation - Foreign/Coastal Shipping.
** Maritime Boundary Issues.
** Maritime Law.
** Maritime Security Initiatives Eg PSI/CSI/RMSI.
** Ocean Engineering /Seabed Resource Exploitation.

Qualifications - Researchers
