Qualification :
Essential : A Doctorate degree in Entomology/ Zoology/ Agriculture/ Botany/ Sericulture or an equivalent qualification from a recognised University with a minimum of 12 years Research experience out of which 5 years should be in the capacity of Joint Director [now re-designated as Scientist-D] in the Pay Band PB-3 Rs.15600-39100 + Grade pay of Rs.7600/- or equivalent.

Job Description : This is a Research Management position in CSB. The incumbent will head a CSB Research Institute/ Organisation and organise, direct and guide research. Strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation of research, training and extension activities. Plan development strategies for the sericulture industry through dissemination of technologies, innovations and entrepreneurship development and co-ordination with State Departments for effective transfer of technology. Plan field related training programmes for technology absorption, Supervise & monitor the activities of Extension Units, etc., Implement and monitor Govt. of India’s schemes for the benefit of the stakeholders.

- Preparation of various media and reagents like Minimum Essential Medium (MEM), Trypsin-EDTA solution, Tryptose Phosphate Broth (TPB), Phosphate Buffer Saline (PBS) through Sterilized 0.22 µ filter cartridge.
- Integrity testing of cartridge filters which are used in production.
