Important Information - Eligibility Criteria

A. Qualification :
Full time BE / B.Tech / B.Sc Engineering (4 years duration) with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (aggregate as per the university ordinance ) in any of the engineering disciplines mentioned in Table -1 available in the sub menu - Required Disciplines

Applicants, whose final results are awaited and / or are appearing for the final year / semester examination during April – May 2012, but are otherwise eligible, may also apply. If selected, they will be required to submit the mark-sheet of final result on or before 30th November 2012.

NOTE : This recruitment is only for Full time BE / B.Tech / B.Sc Engineering (4 years duration). Applicants having ME/M.Tech/Ph.D qualification are not eligible and need not apply

Relaxation for those belonging to the following :
Dependents of those who died in the riots of 1984(Dep1984) -5 years
Persons domiciled in Kashmir division of Jammu & Kashmir State from 01/01/1980 to 31/12/1989 (Dom Kashmir) – 5 years
Persons With Disability (PWD) – 10 years relaxation of age (degree of disability 40% or above) in following disablement categories identified for appointment of the post in the following disciplines:

Selection Process :
a. The eligible applicants will be shortlisted through Online Test on Engineering Disciplines listed under "Required Disciplines sub menu". The Online Test will be conducted from 16th April, 2012 to 22nd April, 2012 for all the disciplines stated at "Required Disciplines" menu and applicant is required to appear on any one day between 16th April, 2012 to 22nd April, 2012 in the following Cities across India. Applicant is required to give preference of cities (Refer Table-2 below) and dates for appearing in the Online Test between 16th April, 2012 to 22nd April, 2012 as per his/her convenience. While all efforts will be made to accommodate the preference of the applicants for the date and city, final allotment of date and city will depend on availability of seats on the preferred date and city. The details of date, time and venue address will be indicated in the admit card.
b. Applicants shortlisted through Online Test will be interviewed at NPCIL, HQ, Mumbai. Tentatively interviews will be held in May, 2012. Names of short-listed applicants through Online Test will be declared in the NPCIL website. Email/SMS intimation for interview will also be sent to such short-listed applicants. Call letter for appearing in interview will be available in the web site for downloading.
c. Final selection is solely on the basis of performance in the Personal Interview subject to medical fitness.

Bond :
Selected applicants are required to execute an agreement and a personal indemnity bond for Rs.2,45,000/- (Two lakhs forty five thousand) to serve NPCIL for at least three years after completion of training. (No third party surety is required)

Are the ppl with 55% under SC category eligible for ET ?

There is no mention of relaxation of mark for SC.
May be I did not look thoroughly.
Check this condition before you apply.

In that demo online test there were questions from all the sections..so should we have prepare questions apart from our core subjects?

I do not think so. You could stick with your core subjects.

Sir actually it is written that relaxation will be given as per govt of india rules. and according to the rules 5% relaxation is provided in the eligibility criteria . So what should i do ?

what exactly is the eligibility criteria???... is it the aggregate percentage of all four years or the percentage written on the degree of university.... u know like in other universities the degree bears average marks of all 4 years but in pune university degree bears the marks of only final year(i.e average of last two semesters)... so which average is to be considered for the eligibility?

Imagine that you are the authority. While framing the rules, will you consider only Pune University or all the universities?

I assume that aggregate of all four years. May be I am wrong.
