Appointment of Stipendiary Trainees
(Training assignment on contract basis)
National Institute of Technology Rourkela invites applications from Indian Nationals, possessing superior academic background for the following time bound positions on contract basis. The positions shall offer a stipend (not a salary) for preparing young people with on-the-job experience for working in industry, business or similar organizations.

1. Stipendiary Engineers :
Stipend : Rs.12, 800/-per month Consolidated.
Essential Qualification : Diploma in Civil/Electrical Engineering/ Architecture or Computer Science or MCA or BSc (Ag) specializing in Horticulture or Forestry. The candidates must have first division in Matriculation as well as in qualifying examination.
Desirable : Superior academic record throughout career.
Age Limit : Must be born on or after 01.03.1989. Candidate must have left college only after 01.03.2010 or expect to complete college degree/ diploma before 31.05.2012 [i.e. Only 2010, 2011 and 2012 batches are eligible]. Candidates still in college will be only provisionally selected till their results are published. During the period before results are published the rate of stipend shall be 50% of the normal rate.
2. Stipendiary Assistants :
Stipend : Rs.6800/- per month consolidated.
Essential Qualification : Graduation in any branch preferably B.Com or BBA or BCA or Diploma in Office management/Secretarial practices. The candidates must have first division in Matriculation as well as in qualifying examination.
Desirable : Superior academic record throughout career.
Age : Must be born on or after 01.03.1989. Candidate must have left college only after 01.03.2010 or expect to complete college degree/ diploma before 31.05.2012 [i.e. Only 2010, 2011 and 2012 batches are eligible]. Candidates still in college will be only provisionally selected till their results are published. During the period before results are published the rate of stipend shall be 50% of the normal rate.
3. Stipendiary Technicians :
Stipend : Rs.6800/- per month consolidated.
Essential Qualification : ITI in Electrician/ Electronic/ Refrigeration mechanic/ Welder/ Fitter/ Machinist or Turner. The candidates must have first division in Matriculation as well as in qualifying examination.
Desirable : Superior academic record throughout career.
Age : Must be born on or after 01.03.1989. Candidate must have left college only after 01.03.2010 or expect to complete college degree/ diploma before 31.05.2012 [i.e. Only 2010, 2011 and 2012 batches are eligible]. Candidates still in college will be only provisionally selected till their results are published. During the period before results are published the rate of stipend shall be 50% of the normal rate.
