Primary Responsibilities :
** Lead all PMC related QA/QC activities, working closely with the PMC RE’s and EPC Construction Contractor QC personnel
** Review Contractors’ Project Quality Plans and Quality Audit Schedules for acceptability against project requirements
** Monitor the contractors’ performance in accordance with BS.EN ISO 9001: 2008 to ensure that all projects and services are executed satisfactorily
** Monitor work performed by Contractors / subcontractors to ensure it meets and if possible exceeds expectations
** Review Contractors’ audit reports and discuss findings and proposed corrective actions, and undertake follow up audits if necessary
** Carry out independent audits against Contractor’s work in critical areas/quality systems/information systems to identify any nonconformity or areas/items which could potentially result in nonconformity. Ensure that the audit findings are closed out properly and that preventative plans are in place

Other Responsibilities :
** Manage, administer, oversee and be responsible for day-to-day quality and technical assurance activities for the construction and commissioning phases of the project
** Act as the single point of contact for all Quality related issues on a daily basis
** Participate in and contribute to risk based and contract change management within the team
** Review and assure that all open items during the engineering and procurement phases of the project are properly closed during the transition period of handover to the site team
** Ensure quality management systems, processes and procedures are adequately developed and implemented for the construction and commissioning phases of the project
** Monitor Quality Control activities at site
** Ensure that document control and appropriate updating of registers, logs and weekly reports is accurate
** Attend and participate in all project progress review and other meetings. Conduct a weekly quality meeting with the Contractors
** Review the Contractors plans, procedures and other documentation relating to systems and equipment integrity and interfacing with other project areas
** Write contractual letters and other correspondence, as required
** Conduct audits on EPC Contractors; observe/review internal audits and external vendor audits, including all Sub vendors and Subcontractors contracted by the Contractor, in accordance with the planned audit schedules
** Participate in audits and health checks
** Conduct quality assessments of new Vendors, Fabricators and Subcontractors, as required
** Assure that Subcontractor and Vendor quality management systems are in place and functioning as intended, and on a continual basis
** Review the contract and project specifications for quality related requirements
** Review and expedite project deliverables relating to quality issues
** Provide quality related training to Contractor team members, as required
** Report to senior management on a weekly basis

Essential :
** Relevant Engineering Degree
** An experienced QA/QC Manager with previous knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
** +10 years relevant industry experience, with at least the last 5 years in a similar position
** Strong background in QA/QC Management
** Extensive experience in monitoring contractor QA and QC performance on major international construction projects
** Experience of working on-site on large Middle East projects including PMC

** 15 years relevant industry experience
