Grade & Pay Scale : S-1 Grade Rs.8630-3%-12080 (Due for revision from 01-01-2012)

Age limit : 18-28 years

Qualification & Experience : Minimum pass in 10th Std. (Matric) with valid Blaster or Mining Mate Certificate and having Minimum of 1 year experience as a Blaster or a Mining Mate.

Candidates will have to attend written test followed by Interview to be conducted at Bhadravati, Karnataka.

Attested/Self attested photocopies of all academic & professional qualifications, proof of date of birth (Matric/High School Certificate). Experience certificate and attested photographs must be attached along with the application. Applications not accompanied with copies of the certificates and photographs Demand Draft will be rejected.

Envelope carrying the application should be clearly superscribed `Application for the post of Blaster .

The date, time and place of written test and Interview will be intimated to the present address mentioned by the candidates in their applications.

Candidates must take special care NOT to staple the Demand Draft, Candidates may use steel pin (if required).

Monitoring Daily Painting activities in shop and field. Planning and scheduling in order to achieve
the target .
Morning the effective function of blasting equipment, coating equipment checking the performance
Of blaster/ coating application.
Review the drawing and specification and identify the paint system to be applied.
Liaise with quality control department and checking the weather condition, substrate condition, surface Preparation, (anchor pattern)
Checks surface preparation
Verifies all equipments where Blasting/Painting was not necessary to be masked out.
Monitor degreasing and high pressure fresh water wash to be carried out.
Verifies weld spatter and all surfaces irregularities to be removed.
Chloride Test to be carried out as per Standard (When required).
Compressed air used for abrasive blasting to be checked as per standard.
Monitor size , shape, dryness and cleanliness of the abrasive.
Abrasive conductivity test to be carried out as per standard (When required).
Monitor air pressure and nozzle size of blasting equipment.
Ambient condition and substrate temperature to be observed in every two hours intervals
Surface cleanliness to be verified using standard.
The surface to be blasted should be free from grease ,oil and other contaminants.
Anchor profile to be checked as per client’s requirement and SPCS.
Monitor blow down of spent abrasives and materials.
Dust contamination test has been carried out as per Standard (If required).
Monitor mixing and thinning of the paint.
Monitor the coating application and wet film thickness.
Monitor and ensure over coating intervals between each coat of paint.
Check the paint drum (manufacturer , paint name , batch number , batch certificate , expiry date etc…).
Prior to blasting and painting check for mixing thinning . Monitoring pot life and ensuring the interval time between prime, mid & top cast as per specification.
Check for WFT,DFT and holiday detection for U/G pipeline.
Preparation of painting reports.
Check the area as per P & ID.
Conducting daily tool box meeting.
Monitoring Daily Progress status.
