SELECTION OF JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWS

Applications are invited from interested students for the award of Junior Research Fellowships of the Department of Atomic Energy tenable at IGCAR. The selected candidates will be eligible to register for Ph.D. in Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI, a deemed to be university of Department of Atomic Energy). QUALIFICATIONS
Category-A (Those who have already completed M.Sc.)
The candidate must have obtained a minimum of 60% marks Master of Science (M.Sc.) Degree from a recognized University in one of the following disciplines.
a) Physics or Materials Science : Master of Science in Physics/Materials Science with Mathematics/Numerical Methods as one of the subjects studied at the M.Sc. level and Chemistry as an ancillary subject up to 60% at B.Sc. level.
b) Chemistry : Master of Science in Chemistry with Physics and Mathematics studied as ancillary subjects up to 60% at B.Sc. level.
c) Atmospheric Sciences : Master of Science/M.Tech. in Meteorology/ Atmospheric Sciences / Physical Oceanography
Category-B (Those who have already completed B.E./B.Tech../ B.S. or B.Sc. Engineering/ B.Sc. Tech.] from a recognized University)
The candidate must have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in one of the engineering disciplines given below :
(i) Computer Science & Engineering (ii) Metallurgical Engineering (iii) Chemical Engineering (iv) Mechanical Engineering (v) Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering (vi) Electronics & Communication Engineering (vii) Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
Category-C Candidates in the final year/semester of M.Sc./B.E./B.Tech./B.S. or B.Sc. Engineering / B.Sc.[Tech])
The candidate should be in the final year/semester of M.Sc./B.E./B.Tech./B.S. or B.Sc. Engineering/B.Sc.[Tech] Degree course in recognized Universities in one of the disciplines as mentioned above in Category-A and Category-B. Such candidates should have scored marks above 60% in each previous semester/year and minimum aggregate of 60% in B.Sc. level [in the case of M.Sc. candidates]. In case such candidates eventually join the Centre, they shall have acquired aggregate marks of 60% in the qualifying degrees. Relevant certificates to this effect should be submitted at the time of joining the Centre.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE :
i) The Application Form and Hall Ticket Form can also be downloaded from the IGCAR website igcar.gov.in
ii) Send the completed Application Form typed on a A4 size sheet and Hall Ticket Form along with the required enclosures by Post (Registered or speed post of Indian Postal service) ,so as to reach IGCAR on or before March 23, 2012 to :

The applicant in due course would receive Hall Ticket, appropriately endorsed by IGCAR which will permit the candidate to appear for the written test and/or the interview.

Description : This project introduces a novel and very low cost brushless DC (BLDC) motor drive. Proposed drive uses a four-switch inverter for a three-phase BLDC motor, without any mechanical hall sensors. This system uses the back electromotive force (Back-EMF) method.

Title : AUTOMATED CONTROL FOR
UNMANNED RAILWAYS

Project Details :
- To design and develop an unmanned railway gate which can sense the train and be operated independently.
- This is a protype module which uses IR sensors for train sensing and DC motor to operate the gate.
- In the real time IR sensors can be replaced by magnetic sensors and DC motor can be replaced with higher capacity motor.
Technical Seminar :
Title : OPTICAL POWER
TRANSMISSION Seminar Details :
- An optical fiber adapted to carry optical power for powering an electrical device and also optionally adapted to carry optical data for signal processing.
- It consist of a light source, a transmission medium and a light receiver. The system performance depends on the efficiency of opto-electronic converter devices, temperature and illumination dependent losses, and coupling between transmitter and fiber.

Actually i applied for the post of jrf in IGCAR..In that requirement notice they specify May 12, 13,14 is interview but still now i didnt get any shortlist details about that interview...When we have interview sir?when we will get shortlist details sir?
