    Training Council
    Training of clinical research professionals is very important especially given the fact that clinical research is a comparatively new discipline, it is heavily regulated and consist of professionals from different backgrounds: physicians, pharmacists, statisticians, life science graduates etc. In addition there is limited standardization of training programs in India.

    The Training council aims
    ** To help in capacity building of clinical research professionals in various topics related to clinical research.
    ** Generate high quality training programs addressing existing knowledge and skills gaps.
    ** Create a network of highly trained professionals.
    ** Work towards certification of key roles in clinical research.

    The council has representation from various partners including professionals with background in medicine, pharmacy and allied life sciences. Members also work in diverse roles such as Quality, Clinical operations and Business Development, Medical Affairs and Training. The council members along with external stakeholders are responsible for developing high quality programs run in several cities across India. Some of the areas where the Council has already conducted programs include Quality and Regulatory Inspections, Advanced Monitoring, Study Management in collaboration with national and international faculty.

    Indian Society for Clinical Research is an association of clinical research professionals registered under the Societies Registration Act (1860).

    The Society brings together all those who are engaged in clinical research activities in India and provides a forum for exchange of information and learning. ISCR aims to build awareness of clinical research as a specialty in India and to facilitate its growth in the country while helping to evolve the highest standards of quality and ethics.
