Job Description:
1.Preparation/supervision of equipment layouts /Piping GAD/ isometrics
2.Piping supports and specifications.
3.Vendor bid evaluation.
4.MTO, 3D Plant Models (PDS or SP3D or PDMS) and interface with other departments.

PROJECT WORKS
- MAIN PROJECT – PRODUCT QUALITY ANALYSIS AND IMPROVEMENT
The project work was focused on the improvement of product quality at RED STAR PLASTICS PVT LTD, Thrissur, Kerala. For a better assessment of the present product quality status, a questionnaire was prepared and a survey was conducted. The survey was successful and we could conclude that breakage while overloading, caused due to material overheating, was the main factor affecting the quality. As a solution, we made a slight change in material composition, which improved the product strength even in the presence of the referred problem. Our project was an added advantage to the firm, as they were on an expansion process.
- MINI PROJECT- DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF A SIX LEGGED WALKER
The main objective of the project was the demonstration of four bar mechanism. The walker is run by a DC motor. The motion of the legs are based on four link mechanism, since four link mechanism or linkage is the most fundamental among the plane kinematic linkages. It is a much preferred mechanical device for the mechanization and control of motion, due to its simplicity and versatility. The materials used for the fabrication of the walker are aluminium and galvanized iron. The kinematic links are connected in the form of a quadrilateral by pin joints.
- SEMINAR – QUALITY FUNCTION DEPLOYMENT (QFD)
QFD is a methodology used for structured product planning and development-it enables the product development team to clearly specify the customer’s needs and wants against how it is to be achieved. Each proposed feature is then systematically evaluated in terms of it’s impact within the overall product design. The methodology takes the design team through the concept, creation and realization phases of a new product with absolute focus. It also helps to define what the end user is really looking for in the way of market driven features and benefits-it lists customer requirements in the language of the customer and helps you to translate these requirements into appropriate new product characteristics.
