Job Description
Database architecture and database connection troubleshooting and simple support tasks.
Linux, shell scripts
Migration activities from Oracle 8i to Oracle 9i in telecom domain/large databases
Know data import and export activities.
Write simple queries and pl/sql concepts, functions, and stored procedure, an inline view
Tuning Concepts, various types of indexes and their usage, how to trace sessions, global temporary concepts, etc.
Strong in database design - must know usage of different partitions like hash, list and range.
merge statements.
Strong knowledge of external tables and data loading activities.
Should be able to handle scenario based questions
Knowledge of Database Architecture and Import / Export Utility.
Uses Enterprise Manager to check dba reports, data dictionary views.
know RAC
shell scripting, grep / awk unix commands, schedule jobs and bounce oracle instance
locks and resolving deadlock issues.
SQLLDR , important SQLLDR parameters.
Log files monitoring

Min Edu B.E./ B.Tech/ MCA
Must be working as Oracle DBA with good knowledge on PL SQL and Scripting
