PAINTING - COMPOSITION :
Q1. Make a painting composition on any of the following subjects in any medium (water/tempera/pastel colours) of your choice, on a drawing paper about 38 cm x 28 cm in size either horizontally or vertically. Weightage will be given to a well composed drawing, effective use of media, proper emphasis on the subject- matter and utilization of full space.
Include only those forms which are relevant to the subject chosen. For the purpose recall, some of the shapes from life and nature, which you have observed or studied.

Note : (1) Any five subjects suitable for painting composition according to the level of the candidates/students, of class X are to be selected /decided and are to be mentioned in the question.
(2) The subjects should be so designed that the candidates may get clear - cut ideas of the subject and they can exercise their imagination freely, because it is not important what you do, but how you do it.
(3) Some identified areas of the subjects for painting-composition are given below for reference, in which some more areas may also be added :
(i) Related to family : activities and environment
(ii) Related to school : activities and environment
(iii)Related to any problem local, regional, national, global
(iv) Related to National Integration, pride, events and celebrations; World Unity and Peace etc.

MARKING SCHEME :
(i) Compositional-arrangement and emphasis on the subject-matter 40
(ii)Treatment of Media(colours) 10 60 marks
(iii)Originality, Creativity and overall impression 10

(Since no theory paper, 30%weightage will be taken for final.)
(FA3=10 marks + FA4=10+30=50 marks)
