Job Description
10-15 years hands on experience in developing plant layout (PDS or PDMS), preparing and completing line lists, design of piping systems including supports, insulation, tracing etc., stress analysis (using CEASER), selecting materials, providing guidance and carrying out checks during fabrication and erection. Good computer skills are required.

Good communication skills are essential.

The work involves development of layout of modular/ skid mounted units, developing line lists, carrying out piping studies/isometrics, design of piping system including that for supports, tracing and insulation.
Providing technical support during detailed engineering, procurement of materials, construction/ fabrication of modules/skids to ensure a sound design package and fabrication.

Analyzing and recommending solutions to technical problems in the piping design and plant layout areas.

Providing technical support as needed for proposals, cost estimates and design basis data.

Develop procedures, standards and tools for piping executed in various projects.

Close interaction with customers to determine plant layout and piping design requirements

Close interaction with detailed engineering companies for layout and piping design. Interaction with module/skid fabricators during fabrication.

Close coordination with other engineering disciplines for modules/skids.

Opportunity to work closely with UOP's experts in modular engineering.
Travel, for providing technical assistance during conceptual stage of layout development, detailed engineering, fabrication and erection of modules and skids in India as well as overseas.
