Scientist ‘D’ (Medical) (1 Post – UR) –in the Pay Band-3 of Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs. 7600 : Essential qualifications : (i) MBBS or equivalent degree recognized by MCI from a recognized university. (ii) Eight years R&D/teaching experience in Medicine/ Surgery/ P&SM, Pathology/ Radiotherapy or equivalent in recognized institute(s) after obtaining essential qualification (i) out of which at least 2 years in a managerial position to handle R & D Projects in a team effectively ina directing capacity.
Scientist ‘C’ (Statistics) (1 Post – UR) - in the Pay Band-3 of Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs.6600 : Essential qualifications : (i) First Class Master’s Degree in Statistics with spl. in Medical Statistics/ Bio-Statistics or equivalent from a recognized University. OR 2nd Class Master’s Degree in Statistics with spl. + Ph.D. degree in relevant subject from a recognized University. (ii) Four years research/ teaching experience in the subjects related to health research after obtaining essential qualification
Scientist ‘B’ (Statistics) (1 Post – UR) - in the Pay Band-3 of Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs.5400 : Essential qualifications : First Class Master’s or equivalent Degree in Statistics/ Bio-Statistics with spl. in Medical/ Biostatistics from a recognized University. OR 2nd Class Master’s degree in Statistics / Biostatistics + Ph.D. degree in relevant subject from a recognized University.
Age limit : Not exceeding 45 years for Scientist – D, 40 years for Scientist – C and 35 years for Scientist – B.

Application forms duly completed in all respects and signed by the applicant should be sent on the above mentioned address and should reach the centre on or before the closing date along with attested copies of the certificates in support of date of birth, educational qualification, experience etc. and a crossed Indian Postal Order (IPO) for Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred only) payable to the Director-in-Charge, NCDIR, Bangalore. The envelope containing applications should be superscribed Application for the post of “____________”. Candidates applying for more than one post should give separate applications (with prescribed postal order) for each of the posts applied. The SC/ST and physically handicapped candidates (PH) are exempted from the application fee payable in form of IPO.
