From the very beginning the Department lays greater emphasis on the practical training of the latest softwares and technologies. The B.Tech (CS) program focuses on providing a sound theoretical background as well as good practical exposure to students in the relevant areas. Practical training for B.Tech (CS) students is an integral part of the curriculum and in-built into the programs of the students. It is intended to provide a modern, industry oriented education in applied computer science. It aims at producing trained professionals who can successfully meet the demands of the information technology industry.

The Department with the help of University’s Training Cell, has provided complete infrastructure for effective conduction of various training programs.
Training activities are organized throughout the year in an effort towards preparing the prospective students for the campus selection programs. Department of Computer Science can provide various kinds of projects to its B.Tech students. This provides an opportunity to the student to tackle real-life problems. All training programs are designed for the B.Tech (CS) students who want to speed up their technical skills and proficiencies into real time development environment. Each program contains fundamental and advance introduction to the modern programming languages like Java and J2EE. It is totally a hands-on training that is fruitful as well as beneficial to Java developers of any level.

Project training program for students is a golden chance for any individual seeking for a good start in the IT Industry. While undergoing the Project Training in Java, one can be able to explore his/her technical skills with innovative ideas and live projects. From time to time we are calling various experts from the IT industries and they will guide not only our students on each of the modules but also provide help to faculty members to enhancement of their knowledge and skills related to the subject. Department of Computer Science, in the collaboration with ‘Centre for Electronic Governance’ (CEG) has conducted Core Java Training program since July 2007 for its CS students. Two KDC Labs has been developed for regular and smooth conduction of programs. Labs consist of 60 machines equipped with latest softwares and configurations.

Department of Computer Science and ‘Centre for Electronic Governance’ (CEG) has jointly conducted training on Web Programming using HTML and Script language such as Java Script since July 2007 for CS students. This Training program is aimed to provide Technical Skills to become ‘Professional Web Designer’. The primary purpose of the HTML and JAVA SCRIPT is to offer artistic or visual effects to the visitors to the web pages. JavaScript is an object-oriented scripting language used to enable programmatic access to computational objects within a host environment. Although also used in other applications, it is primarily used in the form of client-side JavaScript, implemented as part of a web browser, providing enhanced user interfaces and dynamic websites.
