This SPV named as "Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL)" was incorporated on 03.12.2007 under the Companies Act. It has now been converted into a Joint Venture of Government of India and Government of Tamil Nadu with equal equity holding. The legal manager has to have seven years of experience with maximum of 38 years. Graduate in law with 07 years legal experience in a large Infrastructure organisation, with a proven track record in International contract negotiation and drafting, providing accurate and effective legal counsel and adding value to an organisation through the development of comprehensive contract documents that mitigate risk and penalties. Knowledge of FIDIC contracts and experience in handling claims, variations and arbitration in Civil/System contracts is desirable.

Must be a B.E (Civil) / Diploma (Civil) with minimum 07 years of experience (for graduates) / 14 years (for Diploma) in Planning & construction of Multi-storeyed Buildings / Framed Structures involving pile foundation, mass RCC works and pre –stressed concrete. Experience in construction of Railway depots, Railway viaducts etc. would be preferred.
