Students are Provided with scholarships and financial Assistance to the students by the management, endowments by donors and Government Scholarships. Every year to the tune of more than 15 Lakhs are given to the students as Scholarships.

MCET established in the year 1998 is a private, self financing, A co-educational institution approved by the All India Council for Technical Education ( AICTE ) and is affiliated to the Anna University. The college is located on the Coimbatore - Dindugal National Highway ( NH-209) in 29 acres of land at Pollachi. The college offers 8 Engineering and 3 Applied Science undergraduate programmes in various disciplines and 5 postgraduate programmes and 2 doctoral programmes. The institute has been awarded with ISO 9001:2000 certificate by TUV Rhineland. Also it is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation ( NBA ).

Mahalingam, whose determination and dynamism made possible the realization of this institution of excellence. MCET was established in 1998 to commemorate the 75th Birthday of this great visionary Arutchelvar Dr. N. Mahalingam.
