Merit Scholarship scheme
Merit Scholarship scheme - A corpus fund is created under this scheme and the interest accrued is used for the scholarship for the toppers in the previous year annual examinations and the fees equal to the amount of second term fees is given as scholarship.

Adoption Scheme
Many philanthropists donate money for this scheme and the benefit of this (Rs 6,000/- per child per year) is given to the students selected on the basis of merit cum means from VI standard onwards until the student complete his/her schooling.

OUR SCHOOL
G K Shetty Vivekananda Vidyalaya is one of the units of Vivekananda Educational Society, started in June 1979 under the auspices of the Citizens Welfare Association, Ambattur with 157 students from LKG to II std and five staff members. With the continued support from parents, public and philanthropists and the dedicated team work of the staff, it has now grown in to a Junior college with a total strength of 2745 students and 96 teachers. After the inception, every year a class is added and the school has grown into a full fledged senior secondary school, affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.

EDUCATION
The aim of all education undoubtedly is the attainment of human excellence perfection and divinity not just in the field of knowledge or activity but life in totality. School plays a major role in molding the ideal habits and attitudes of children with a view to produce well balanced personalities; physically strong, mentally alert, emotionally stable, culturally sound, socially efficient and ethically excellent. In short education is for life and living.
