The Institute Silver Medals are awarded to the best undergraduate student in each discipline across all branches.

Shankar Dayal Sharma Gold Medal
Shankar Dayal Sharma Gold Medal is awarded to the best student in terms of general proficiency, which includes character, conduct, excellence in academic performance, extra-curricular activities and social service.

Scholarships at IITG
The Institute has provision of awarding Merit-cum-Means Scholarships and Merit Scholarships to the under graduate students who fulfill the criteria laid down by the institute.

In addition, the Inlaks foundation awards a meritorious student of the BTech programme. Indian Womens' Association, Bonn (IWAB) scholarship is awarded to deserving female under-graduate students.
