Course Details
1. General Purpose Rating (GP)
Eligibility
Educational Qualification:
10 th Std pass with aggregate 40% marks from a recognized Board with English as a subject with minimum 40% marks in English Subject.
Age: Age between 17.5 & 25 years on the date of commencement of the course.
Duration: Six Months
Course Commences: 1 st January and 1 st July Every Year.
Medical : As per Merchant Shipping Act Medical Examination of Seafarers Rules, 2000 as amended time to time.
Marital status: Unmarried/ married
Passport: Compulsory (Inclusive of 4 basic modular courses)

2. Certificae Course in Maritime Catering (CCMC)
Eligibility
Educational Qualification:
12 th Std pass with aggregate 40% marks from a recognized Board with English as a subject with minimum 40% marks in English Subject.
Age: Age between 17.5 & 25 years on the date of commencement of the course.
Duration: Six Months
Course Commences: 1 st January and 1 st July Every Year.
Medical : As per Merchant Shipping Act Medical Examination of Seafarers Rules, 2000 as amended time to time.
Marital status: Unmarried/ married
Passport: Compulsory

3. STCW Modular Courses
Educational Qualification: 10 th Std Pass ( Passport required)
Age: 18 years and above.
1 Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities -
• Duration: 3 days
2 Personal Survival Techniques -
• Duration: 3 days
3 Elementary First Aid -
• Duration: 2 days
4 Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting -
• Duration: 3 days

The above STCW courses are mandatory & part of G.P. Rating Training Course.Trainees will be issued separate Certificates for each of above Course upon Successful Completion and CDC will be issued by Shipping Office, Mumbai through InstituteCity Office:
