The candidates appearing for nationally recognized entrance test for management education CAT will be considered for admission through GD & Personal interview. Candidates who had not given CAT will be required to take a formal test to be conducted by LMT School of management, Thapar University at Patiala. This formal test will be conducted to assess the candidates strength and weakness in the following areas :
** Aptitude
** Communication skill and English comprehension
** Analytical skill
** Basic science

Candidates with work experience will be given preferences provided they show enough aptitude towards academic pursuit.

Eligibility : Admission to two year MBA programme will be open to a candidate who obtains at least 60% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination from a recognized university.

Qualifying Examination : B.E. / B.Tech degree in any discipline OR M.Sc / M.A in Mathematics/ Mathematics and Computing/ Statistics / Operation Research / Computer Science / Electronics / Information Technology / Information Science / Physics OR M.C.A.

Admission Procedure : Admission to two year MBA programme will be on the basis of merit to be made as per following criterion:

Bridge Course :
LMTSOM offers its techno-management programme to physical sciences graduates wherein admitted students has to undergo additional one year Bridge programme. The Bridge programme provides them a strong analytical base which helps them in taking up the challenges of two year regular techno - management programme being offered by LMTSOM.The candidates appearing for nationally recognized entrance test for management education CAT will be considered for admission through GD & Personal interview. Eligibility : Admission to one year Bridge Course for MBA programme will be open to a candidate who obtains at least 60% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination from a recognized university.

Qualifying Examination : Recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Science of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects.

BE (IE) – MBA :
Students to be admitted through AIEEE after 10+2. The students desirous of taking this programme need to apply in the prescribed format as enclosed in the brochure by paying the requisite application fee. Eligibility Criteria is as per AIEEE guidelines.
