Job Description
1. Conceptualize and Design of new parts/products for variable speed electrical drives/motors
2. Conduct Design study, Tolerance study and design freeze using Six sigma techniques
3. Proto typing and tool design & development through vendors
4. Develop manufacturing flow, method, process and instructions
5. Develop Test plan and test rig for parts/product
6. Project management and execution on various value engineering projects
7. Support project involving Supplier Process qualification, Performance study and evaluation; Quality Improvement
8. Hands on experience for the drawings and documentation

Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications/Requirements
1. Bachelors Degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent
2. 2-4 years experience in Engineering or Manufacturing Methods team
3. Working knowledge in Pro-e, Solidworks & PDM (Intralink & Smart Team)
4. Strong in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance
5. Trained for Six Sigma and itâs tools
6. Knowledge on small/medium electrical motors manufacturing processes
7. Strong team player with high level of integrity and energy
8. Communication skills to work cross-functionally and with all levels of organization
9. Highly self motivated, self starter and demonstrated ability to execute
10. Grasp to understand applications

1. Design, Process and Manufacturing experience in Motor Industry
2. Design knowledge on Sheet metal, Die Cast, Machined and plastic components
3. Knowledge on FEA analysis
4. Worked in Productivity, Value Engg, Reverse Engg projects; involved in Idea Generation activity and New product developments
5. Knowledge on various materials â Metal & non metal
6. Ability to solve Plant and Supplier issues. Support Plant, Sourcing, Documentation and Technology/Engineering teams
7. Deliver on team metrics and engage in quality improvements and cycle time reduction initiatives, such at PK, DPMO
8. Very good analytical skills and experience of using statistical tools
9. Understanding of HVAC and commercial refrigeration applications
10. Permanent magnet motors mechanical design and knowledge on standards like NEMA / IEC applicable for motors
