Applications in the prescribed format are invited for the above mentioned competitive examination to be held at Kolkata for filling up the posts of
Sub-Inspector- 137,
Lady Sub- Inspector- 15,
Sergeant- 684,
which could be revised later on. The posts carry the Pay band scale of Rs. 7100 - 37600 + Grade Pay Rs. 3900 (PB-3), plus other admissible allowances. All appointments will initially be made on a temporary basis. Some of the vacancies may be reserved for S.C./S.T./O.B.C. candidates of West Bengal. Departmental candidates working in Kolkata Police may also apply if they fulfill the requisite qualification.

FEE : Candidates must deposit a fee of Rs. 150/- (Rupees One Hundred Fifty) only in the form of A/c payee Demand Draft from any Nationalized Bank or IPO in favour of Kolkata Police Recruitment Board (KPRB), payable at Kolkata. It may be noted that Treasury Challan, Money Orders, Cheques, Cash etc. will not be accepted. No application will be considered unless accompanied with the requisite application fees. Candidates belonging to SC/ST category of West Bengal only are not required to pay any fee. I am presently working in central government and about to retire in 2017, at the age of 33 approximately. After that I want to join the west bengal police, as a sub inspector and right now my qualification is MA with history. My height is 165 cms.
