EMPLOYMENT NOTICE FOR RECRUITMENT OF CONSTABLE/LADY CONSTABLE IN KOLKATA POLICE.

PROBABLE VACANCY :-
(a) For the post of Constable : 2500
(b) For the post of Lady Constable : 50

SCALE OF PAY : Rs. 5400 – 25200(PB 2) + 2600 (Grade Pay ) with admissible allowances and prospect of future promotion as per Rule.

ELIGIBILITY :-
(i) Must be a Citizen of India
(ii) Age ( For all posts) :- Age shall not be less than 18 Yrs and more than 27 Yrs as on 01.01.2012. Upper age limit is relaxable for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Candidates by 5 (Five) Yrs and for OBC candidates by 3 (Three) Yrs.
(iii) Minimum Educational Qualification : The applicant must have passed Madhyamik Examination under W.B.B.S.E or equivalent.
(iv) Physical eligibility :–
(a) For the post of Constable :
(1) Minimum Height – 167 cms.
(2) Minimum Chest – 78 cms. with minimum expansion of 5 cms. by inhalation.
(3) Minimum Weight – Proportionate to height and age as per Medical standard.
(b) For the post of Lady Constable :
(1) Minimum Height – 160 cms.
(2) Minimum Weight - Proportionate to height and age as per Medical standard.

HOW TO APPLY :–
Examination Fee (For all Posts) :- Non refundable Examination fee of Rs 150 /- (Rupees One Hundred and Fifty only) shall have to be paid through Postal Order or Demand Draft in favour of “Kolkata Police Recruitment Board” payable in Kolkata.

Words “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF CONSTABLE OR LADY CONSTABLE” ( as the case may be) will have to be superscribed on the top of the envelope, containing the duly filled up Application Form and the above mentioned documents should be sent through ordinary post only to the following address :-

(i)The candidates submitting valid application will be called for Physical Measurement Test first.
(ii) The candidates, who will qualify in Physical Measurement, will be considered for Physical Efficiency Test.
(iii) The candidates, who will qualify in the physical endurance test, will be considered for ‘Written Test’.
(iv) The candidates, who will qualify in the Written Test, will be considered for Interview. After the interview a merit list of qualified candidates will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in ‘Written Test’ and ‘Interview’
(v) Medical Examination (For all Posts) ‐ Provisionally selected candidates will have to undergo a medical examination at the Hospital, designated by Govt. of West Bengal and earmarked by Kolkata Police Recruitment Board.
(vi) Verification of Character and Antecedents (For all Posts) – Provisionally selected candidates will have to fill up and submit ‘Verification Roll’ and obtain clearance from the competent authority
(vii) Training (For all Posts):‐ Provisionally appointed candidates will have to undergo Training. After successful completion of the training, final appointment will be given.
