JUNIOR ENGINEERS (CIVIL, MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL,QUANTITY SURVEYING AND CONTRACT) EXAMINATION, 2012

Commission will hold a Combined All India Open Examination on 08.04.2012 for recruitment to the posts of JUNIOR ENGINEER (CIVIL) and JUNIOR ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL) in Central Public Works Department (CPWD) and Department of Posts, JUNIOR ENGINEER (CIVIL), JUNIOR ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL & MECHANICAL), JUNIOR ENGINEER (Quantity Surveying & Contract) in Military Engineering Service (MES), JUNIOR ENGINEER (CIVIL & MECHANICAL) in Central Water Commission (CWC) and Farakka Barrage, for which Degree or Diploma in Civil or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an institution recognized by Govt. of India or equivalent qualification is the minimum qualification. The Examination will comprise of a Written Examination followed by Interview.

FEE : RUPEES ONE HUNDRED ONLY (Rs. 100/-)
Fee is exempted for all Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Servicemen, as per Govt. orders.

CLOSING DATE : 10.02.2012 (upto 5.00 PM).

CANDIDATES MAY SEND APPLICATION IN THE PRESCRIBED FORMAT BY POST OR APPLY ON LINE. FACILITY OF ON-LINE APPLICATION WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM 14.01.2012 TO 10.02.2012 FOR PART II REGISTERATION AND UPTO 08-02-2012 FOR PART-1 REGISTRATION. CANDIDATES APPLYING ON-LINE SHOULD RETAIN THE REGISTRATION NUMBER ASSIGNED TO THEM ONLINE AND DETAILS OF PAYMENT OF FEE FOR FURTHER CORRESPONDENCE WITH THE COMMISSION. THEY SHOULD NOT SUBMIT PRINT OUTS OF THEIR APPLICATION TO THE COMMISSION.

AGE LIMIT :
(i) 18-27 years for Junior Engineer (Civil & Electrical) in CPWD and Department of Posts
(ii) Not exceeding 30 years for Junior Engineer (Civil) and Junior Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical) in MES
(iii) Upto 32 years for Junior Engineers (Civil & Mechanical) in CWC and Farakka Barrage.
(iv) 18-27 Years for Junior Engineers(Quantity Surveying and Contract) in MES

Educational and Other Qualification :
Diploma in Civil or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an institution recognized by the Central Government or equivalent qualification.
Three years Diploma or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an institution recognized by the Central Government or State Government.

- Sumez H.E. Project (14 MW) is allotted to Ranga Raju Warehousing Pvt. Ltd. on Boot basis by the Govt. of Himachal Pradesh in order to drive participation of private agencies in harnessing the power potential of the state. The project consists of Trench weir , Underground water conveyance system (HRT), Desilting Tank, Open Channel, A Penstock and Power House and TRC
- Power House consisting the two no. of units. Each unit consist of horizontal construction of 2–jet Pelton Wheel Turbine and Synchronous Generator (Make TDPS Power system Pvt Ltd.) rated for 7 MW + 10% COL, 6.6KV, 3-Phase, 50 Hz, 0.8 PF star connected brushless generator in horizontal configuration directly coupled to turbine and its Auxiliaries like OPU, GLOP, Cooling Water Pump.
- The Switchyard consisting two No. of 10 MVA, 6.6/ 33KV Step-up Transformer, 36 KV SF6 Breaker,30 KV LA, 33 KV Isolator, 400/1A CT, 33 KV/110V PT and 250 KVA, 33/ 0.433 KV step-down Auxiliary Transformer.
- 12 KM, 33 KV Transmission line using two pole structure and Wolf conductor for transmitting Electricity from Power House to Ganvi Sub-Station.

Job Responsibilities :
- Erection of Pelton wheel Turbine Horizontal Axis of 2 Jet including with Gen. Exciter, hyd. Break, Switchgear & Panel and switchyard.
- Supervising of Operation & Maintenance of Electrical & Mechanical Equipment and 33 KV Switchyard and handling all activities performed during shift hours.
- Billing as per contract.
- Responsible for handling normal plant operations including start-ups, shut-downs.
- Responsible for trouble-shooting under emergency plant operations.
