Job Description
The candidate will participate in environmental and geotechnical projects that involve field studies, report preparation, and interaction with coworkers and subcontractors.
The candidate will participate in surface and subsurface site characterizations involving drilling, soil classification, and rock and soil coring and groundwater well installation.
The candidate may also perform geotechnical testing; environmental groundwater, surface water, soil, and air sampling; environmental site assessments; and regulatory reporting.

Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements:
At a minimum a Bachelorâs degree in geological or geotechnical engineering, or related degree with 0-3years experience
Good communication skills (English and Hindi required)
Ability to carry out geological or geotechnical investigations, field testing, interpretation of geologic and geotechnical data
Ability to describe and log soil/rock core samples
The position requires travel and fieldwork as dictated by project demands.
The successful candidate is expected to work with multi-disciplinary teams of professionals including geologists, geotechnical engineers and environmental scientists.
Ability to work both independently and within groups.

Desirable:
Strong technical and analytical ability, preferably with post-graduate qualifications in geology/ geotechnical engineering
Experience in field logging and sampling, laboratory testing, or geotechnical analysis involving slope stability, settlement etc
A willingness to perform a variety of assignments on short notice
Experience in the use of standard geological and geotechnical software, such as SURFER, FLAC, PLAXIS, WALLAP, Slope/W.
Working knowledge of Mining software such as DATAMINE, Vulcan, SURPAC etc.
