    REQUIREMENT OF FIELD ASSISTANTS (Agriculture)

    IIITM-K invites suitable candidates for the post of Field Assistants (Agriculture) for one of its Agricultural Extension Management Project funded by Department of Agriculture, Govt. of Kerala. The appointment will be purely on contract basis for the period of one year. The selected candidates will have to work in any place (field level) either in Palakkad or Kannur district.

    Essential Qualification : The candidate should have passed VHSC – Agriculture

    Maximum Age limit : 40 years

    Salary : Rs. 8000 per month + Rs. 2000 as Travel allowance

    Experience : One year of experience as desirable. Preference will be given to experienced candidates.

    Selection : Selection will be based on written test and interview. Candidates with necessary qualification will have to attend written test and interview conducted at the following places. Only those candidates qualify the written test will be called for interview on the same day. The candidates have to bring detailed biodata, original certificates with attested copies can attend the written test.

    Currently I am working as a Senior Programme officer in Toxics Link, an environmental NGO based in Delhi, since May 2009. Toxics Link is working for the promoting toxics free environment, and working on different environmental and human health issues. I started my career as a lecturer in Janta Mahavidyalaya, Chandrapur, Maharashtra, after that I got chance a to work with Banner Pharmacaps (a pharma industry) in Gujarat in which I have done microbial analysis of raw material and final products. (microbiologist). In 2003 I shifted to Mumbai in National Institute of Oceanography (CSIR) as a project trainee, where I have participated in major projects of marine pollution assessment for environmental impact through marine water quality assessment and sediment quality assessment for microbial presence, then I got a chance to work as a Project assistant in another CSIR laboratory in Nagpur i.e., National Environmental Engineering Research Institute, in which I have participated in major project of EIA for different sector, In collaboration with NEERI, I have completed my Ph.D work and thesis has been submitted to Amravati University, Maharashtra.
