RECRUITMENT OF POLICE CONSTABLES IN WEST BENGAL POLICE FROM SCHEDULED TRIBE COMMUNITY- 2011
Applications are invited from eligible candidates of Scheduled Tribe community from Paschim Medinipore, Bankura, Purulia and Darjeeling districts for filling up the vacant posts of Constable in West Bengal Police in the scale of Rs. 5,400-25,200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2600 i.e Pay Band-2 as per instructions contained in the following paras
Eligibility :
a) Must be a citizen of India.
b) Candidates must be permanent domiciles of one of the four districts mentioned above.
c) Candidates should belong to Scheduled Tribe Community.
d) The candidates must not be less than 18 years and not more than 32 years as on 01.01.2011. Ex-Servicemen are eligible for age relaxation as per applicable existing Govt. rules.
e) Candidates must have passed Madhyamik Pariksha (X standard) conducted by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or equivalent examination under any Board recognized by the State Government or the Central Government.
HOW TO APPLY :-
a) The application forms will be available from the offices of Superintendent of Police of four districts (Purulia, Bankura, Paschim Mednipore and Darjeeling) and also from SDPO Offices or Sub-divisional Police Stations at Sub-divisional headquarters of those districts on production of proof of belonging to ST Community. The distribution of application form will start on 10th January, 2012 and will continue till 5th February, 2012.
b) The candidates fulfilling the conditions regarding eligibility viz. community, age, physical standards, educational qualification and domicile status should submit their application in the prescribed form duly filled in their own handwriting along with attested copies of the following documents :
i) Matriculation Certificate / Admit Card issued by West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or any other recognized Board as proof of age.
ii) Proof of Educational qualification i.e. Madhyamik Passed Certificate / Mark-sheet of Secondary Examination.
iii) Scheduled Tribe Certificate (ST)- issued by the Competent Authority.
iv) Two Passport size self attested recent colour photographs of size 4.5 cm X 3.5 cm.
v) Domicile certificate issued by SDO/BDO or voter ID card or ST certificate or Ration card containing address as proof of domicile status.
c) This smaller envelope should also be placed within the bigger envelope. The bigger envelope containing the Application Form must be superscribed in bold letters as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF CONSTABLE (ST) IN WEST BENGAL POLICE-2011”. This envelope should be addressed to “THE CHAIRMAN,
WEST BENGAL POLICE RECRUITMENT BOARD,
ARAKSHA BHAVAN, SECTOR-II, BLOCK-DJ, SALT LAKE CITY,
KOLKATA-700 091”.
Application form may be deposited at the same place from where it was issued or can be sent directly to the Chairman, West Bengal Police Recruitment Board by hand or post. Candidates are also requested to write their name and address on the left side of the envelope.
d) Last date of receipt of Application is 10th February, 2012. All applications received after the last date will be summarily rejected.

(ii) Completed B.Sc Part - I (Chemistry, Zoology and Botany).

(i) Attended Store Keeper Technical Course of 08 months duration at College of Material Management COD Jabalpur.
3. Experience / Expertise.
(a) 30 Yrs experience while serving in Army as SKT (Store Keeper Technical) (b) Expertise and specialisation in following :-
(i) Management, provisioning and accounting of stores.
(ii) Maintenance of stock register / ledger.
(iii) Maintenance of Inventory.

(v) Stores In / Out Vouchers / Bills/Register.
(vi) Purchasing of stores and maintain their records.
(vii) Headed Quarter Master Branch (Stores Account Branch) for 10 Yrs with six store keepers and twelve store men.
(c) Presently serving with Super Tech Construction Company Ltd Noida and have six months experience of store Inchrage job.
(d) Computer Literacy. Possesses good working experience with in depth knowledge in MS Office ie MS Word, MS Excel and MS Power Point, Tally Package and accounts.
(e) Also experience of net working.
(f) Security consciousness inbuilt and imbibed during last 30 years service in Army.
