Candidate should be a full Professor in a leading academic institute or hold an equivalent position in a non academic organization. Candidate should have a distinguished record of research and publication in the relevant area. Chair Professor is expected to undertake research in the relevant field and publish papers in international/national refereed journals based on his/her research. Selected candidate may opt to teach in Institute’s academic and executive education programmes. Chair Professorship is initially awarded for three years; it may be extended by another three years.
Required qualifications and experience : Doctorate in Economics or allied field with a successful track record of research and publications and a minimum of 10 years of teaching/research/industry experience.
Compensation & Research Funding : An annual compensation of approximately ` 18 lakh is envisaged for this position. In addition, Campus housing or housing subsidy to the extent of approximately ` 2 lakh would be provided to the incumbent.
An additional amount of ` 7.5 lakh per year would be earmarked towards travel, research support, participation in the national and international conferences, contribution to PF, LTA, etc.
The Institute will also provide secretarial and other state of the art infrastructure for the academic work.
