There are several sources of information available to apply for scholarships. The links shown below will help you in your efforts. However, the only scholarship information that we can provide you with is that which is offered by the Universities we represent. Many Universities allocate fixed number of scholarships every year so it is important to apply for this as soon as possible for the following academic session.

Other sources for scholarships:
Postgraduate Research Scholarships are offered by the Commonwealth Scholarships and Fellowship Plan (CSFP) and the Overseas Research Students Awards Scheme (ORSAS).
A few Undergraduate University Scholarships to study in the UK are available through University and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS).

Part-time work in the UK
Most students on courses of more than 6 months will have their student visa endorsed such that they can work for up to 10 hours per week during the term time and full time during the vacations. Note that most of the available jobs are temporary and may pay approximately £5.50 per hour. This may help you towards some incidental costs. However, remember that you are coming to the UK to attain a University certificate or a degree so your part-time job must be carefully balanced against the work you will need to put in to attain your qualifications.

Work opportunity after qualification
It may be possible for you to stay on in the UK after you have successfully completed your studies. However, the UK Border Agency www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/ will be the appropriate place to inquire about the current directives. For example, students successfully completing a degree (UG or PG) from any UK University may be allowed to work for two years without any work permit requirements. Subsequent to completing one year's work experience in UK, students will be required to find an employer who is keen to apply for a work permit for further stay in the UK. This can be either Business and Commercial Full Time Work Permit or the Training and Work Experience Scheme (TWES) visa.

Other options for staying and working in the UK are: 'Innovators Scheme' or Highly Skilled Migrants Programme (HSMP) or the new Science and Engineering Graduate Scheme (SEGS).
