Saviours Environment Education Awareness Program
Environment Competition-2011-12
Saviours is a registered Non Governmental Organisation, which has been working for conservation of environment since 1999 through its various campaigns. Its aim is to inculcate ‘green culture’ among people especially students and to sensitize them for conservation of flora, fauna and common treasure “air, soil and water’.
Under its Environment Education Awareness Program (EEAP), Saviours has been conducting Environment Competition for students of classes V to XII since 2005 and from this year the organisation has been decided to include Classes III and IV also. The pattern of competition has been designed to match up with green activities of schools` curriculum and to align with the spirit of Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) re-initiated by the CBSE . It is not a mere competition but also a comprehensive effort to sensitize students and teachers` fraternity about existing environmental hazards and issues at different levels of the society. We utilise a certain percentage of financial contribution from students as fee for eradication of growing menace of Environmental Cancer, conservation of Gangetic Dolphins , plantation etc through our exclusively evolved SSS model ( Saviours, Students, Society).
