Applications are invited on plain paper from eligible candidates latest by January,20th, 2012 for the temporary position given below, under the Department of Science and Technology (DST) New Delhi Research Project entitled “Plaeogeographic reconstruction of Dunagiri Gad Basin, Chamoli District, Uttarakhand with special emphasis on monitoring the Snout of Dunagiri and Bagni Bamak Glaciers”.at the Department of Geology, University of Lucknow, Lucknow. The appointment will be made purely on a temporary basis for three years up to the end of the project. The appointment can be terminated at any given time without notice or without assigning any reason thereof. The persons engaged shall not be entitled for any claim implicit or explicit for absorption in the University.

1. Name of the Post : SRF (One)
Remuneration : Rs.18, 000/ +15% HRA- per Month for three years
Qualification : Essential: M.Sc. in Geology/applied geology with minimum 55% marks,
NET with relevant research experience and /Awarded or a Submitted Ph.D.
Desirable : Knowledge of Remote Sensing and GIS

2. Name of the Post : JRF (one)
Remuneration : Rs.14, 000/ +15% HRA- per Month for three years
Qualification : Essential: M.Sc. in Geology/applied geology with minimum 55%
Marks, and NET,
Desirable : knowledge of Remote Sensing and GIS

3. Name of the Post : Field/ Lab Asstt.
Remuneration : Rs.8, 000/ Consolidated per Month for three years
Qualification : Inter with Science OR Graduate
Desirable : (i) Basic knowledge of Computer and Typing
(ii) Basic Knowledge of Accounting

Jeere and Mr. Bhibas Sen, Sr. Geologist, Geological Survey of India, Pune . In Kachchh region of Gujarat, I have done mapping cum sampling of rocks of Quaternary age under the supervision of Dr. Shyam Mude, Paleontologists, Dept of Geology, Fergusson College, Pune. So, I have gained better understanding of Sedimentary Petrology. Under the guidance Dr. C. Rajshekhar, Micropaleontologists, Agharkar Research Institute, Pune., done two months project on “Laboratory Techniques and Methodology of Foraminifera”.
