Government Scholarships are arranged to most of our students as per the guide lines of the State and Central Governments. Special scholarships are arranged through the benevolent trustees of our Trust and meritorious students who are in financial need. The college also extends a helping hand for the students to get educational loans from the Nationalised Banks. Free text books are provided to all those admitted in the First year of study. This scheme is extended for the Second Year of study also for the students who come out successful in all the subjects in University examinations. A gold medal sponsored by our Trustee Alavakottai Sri AR.CT. Subramanian Chettiar is awarded each year to the student who finishes the course with outstanding marks and who clears all their semesters in the first attempt itself.

Chettinad College of Arts & Science was established in the year 2000 by Chettinad Educational Trust, following the footsteps of Dr Rajah Sir Annamalai Chettiar, Dr Alagappa Chettiar and Karumuthu Thiagaraja Chettiar to cater to the educational needs of aspiring students of Tiruchirappalli and its suburbs.
