About us
The M.I.E.T Engineering college was established by the Mohamed Institute of Education and Technology Society. Tiruchirappalli in the year 1998, a society registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act,1975 at the initiative of Alhaj A. Mohamed yunus, an industrialist-cum-educationist as Founder Secretary and Alhaj S.M Hassan Mohamed, A Philanthropist as Founder President with an objective to promote the cause of higher education. The college was started with the permission of the state Government vide G.O No.M.S.W 105 dt. 23.03.1998 and the approval of A.I.C.T.E vide Lr.No FW 730.52.300(E) ET/97 dt.17.11.1997. The college is affiliated to Anna university, Chennai. It is recognized as a Muslim Minority Institution under the constitution of India.
