BE Project-GSM based drip irrigation and control :
Aim of the project :
A. Remote monitoring and control of the drip irrigation system.
B. Complete wireless control and monitoring of drip irrigation system.
C. Parameters like temperature, humidity, soil moisture are monitored in order to turn on/off the drip irrigation process.
WORKING :
The basic idea of this project is to monitor the parameters environmental temperature, soil moisture and humidity in air. According to this the irrigation is to be started or stopped. We are designing the receiver section which will be installed at the field or farm. Ranges of temperature and humidity are decided on board according to the crop, these values are stored in processor unit. Respective sensors are used to sense the surrounding temperature and humidity at receiver section. If temperature or humidity go above or below these limits then a message is sent to the user or farmer. Accordingly farmer can start the irrigation process by sending message to the receiver section. At receiver section (field) there is a GSM modem which will send and receive the particular messages. Along with GSM modem there is processing circuitry at receiver section which is used in processing and storing of data.
Basically in this project we are controlling the power supply to pump which is used for water dripping and also monitoring the temperature, humidity and soil moisture. The facility for setting the temperature and humidity ranges according to the crop is also provided on board.
