First 5 rank holders in each year of the 3 year/5 year of B.L. Degree courses and M.L. Degree course in each year of each branch at the affiliated Govt. Law Colleges.
The candidate should be passed all the subjects in the 1 st attempt itself.
NB: Scholarship is subject to availability of interest accrued on the corpus fund in the account.

iii. Conditions for the award
Scholarship shall be awarded to a student getting first mark in the M.L. I.P.R. degree Course.

K.G.R. SCHOLARSHIP
i. Donor : Prof. K. Govindarajan [Retd.]
ii. Corpus Fund : Rs. 25,000/-
iii. Conditions for the award
Scholarship shall be awarded every year to a regular student of B.A.B.L. (Hons) Degree Course in School of Excellence in Law to be awarded to the “First Rank Holder” in the subject “Contract – I (General Principles of Law of Contract.

SRIDEVAN ENDOWMENT
i. Donor : Hon'ble Mr. Justice Sridevan
ii. Corpus Fund : Rs. 50,000/-
iii. Conditions for the award
To award cash prize of Rs. 5,000/- to the Best Memorial to be selected by the judge in the National Moot Court Competition conducted by the students of the School of Excellence in Law every year.

NEPC TROPHY

iii. Conditions for the award
Endowment in the name of “NEPC TROPHY”
I. Out of the interest accrued, 50% of the interest amount will be utilized for NEPC lectureship on Public Law to be awarded to a nominee suggested by the Committee comprising of a. The Vice-Chancellor, b. the NEPC Representative and c. the Dean P.G. Department. The lectureship theme will be on “Environmental Law and Developmental Laws” to be delivered annually by a jurist including judge, Academician or an eminent Lawyers chosen by the above Committee.
II. The remaining 50% of the interest will be utilized for the award of two prizes per year to the UG & PG Law Degree Courses offered in the Law University.
One Medal (Gold Polished Silver Medal) shall be awarded to the first rank holder in the Environmental Law of the 5 year B.A.B.L.(Hons) Degree Course and,
One Medal (Gold polished Silver Medal) shall be awarded to the First Rank Holder in the overall performance in the P.G. Degree Course Examinations of all the Branches offer at the University Departments.

J . PAUL ENDOWMENT

ii. Corpus Fund : Rs. 1,00,000/-
iii. Conditions for the award
The Scholarships shall be awarded to three M.L. students of any branch who are pursuing M.L. Degree Course, one each from Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College, Chennai, Government Law College, Madurai, Government Law College, Trichy affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Chennai provided that the student should have passed B.L. Degree Examination in the first attempt and admitted to M.L. Programme in any branch in the respective colleges securing highest marks.
The Scholarships shall be awarded to those M.L. students who come from 3 year B.L. Degree Course and 5 year B.L. Degree Course in alternative years.
The Scholarships shall be of the value of Rs. 3,000/- each and shall be given in the form of standard Text Books in the Law subject for the respective M.L. Degree Course with the approval of the Vice-Chancellor of the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University .

About us :
The Government of Tamil Nadu by an Act of State Legislature [Act No.43 of 1997] established the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University for the advancement and dissemination of knowledge in learning, teaching and research in the field of law. His Excellency Shri. K.R. Narayanan, former President of India inaugurated it on September 20, 1997, and the University started from October 3, 1997 onwards. The University was named after the architect of the Indian Constitution Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
