Syndicate Bank was established in 1925 in Udupi, the abode of Lord Krishna in coastal Karnataka with a capital of Rs.8000/- by three visionaries - Sri Upendra Ananth Pai, a businessman, Sri Vaman Kudva, an engineer and Dr.T M A Pai, a physician - who shared a strong commitment to social welfare. o Conducting Internal Safety Audit like, Self Assessment audit, daily safety inspection of entire plant to maintain the safety norms and standard at work place at regular intervals and implementing its recommendations.
o Safety training to employees and contractor labours.
o Identification of hazards, unsafe condition and their rectification.
o Develop and promote a shared vision of safety and develop strategic directions with organization.
o Operation and Maintenance of Fire Fighting & safety equipments.
o Conducting Fire & safety training programme for employees.
o Conduct the mock drill and emergency awareness.
o Handling trained fire fighting manpower at the plant, responsible for regular conduction of Fire Drills and
o Inspection, Testing & Maintenance of Fire Extinguishing Appliances, Equipment, Fixed & Mobile Installation [Fire Pumps]
o Special training related to fire for fireman and essential fire team.
o To identify hazard potential of the plants and to provide and upgrade fire prevention and protection facilities from time to time.
o Pressure vessel & lifting tackles testing and maintaining records.
o Training related to FSE for employees and contractors.
o Carrying out short term safety planning and preparing records.
o Familiar with ISO - 9000, EMS - 14001, OHSAS - 18001 and ensure compliance.
