On-line Registration will start from : 28.12.2011
Last Date for Registration of Online Applications : 20.01.2012
Payment of Fees : 30.12.2011 TO 25.01.2012

Applications are invited from eligible Indian Citizens for appointment in Clerical Cadre in State Bank of India. Candidates can apply for vacancies in one state only as detailed in Table I and II below.

Educational Qualification (as on 01.12.2011)
i) Minimum 12th Standard (10 + 2) pass or equivalent qualification with a minimum of aggregate 60% marks (55% for SC/ ST/ PWD/ XS). PWD(OBC) & XS(OBC) candidates applying under Special Recruitment Drive are required to have minimum of 60% marks in 12th standard or in equivalent qualification. OR
ii) A degree (Graduation level) from a recognised university

Age : (As on 01.12.2011)
Minimum Age : 18 years ; Maximum Age : 28 years (as on 01.12.2011).

Fee Payment : Fee payment will be accepted from 2nd working day after registration and can be made within three working days at any branch of State Bank of India. System generated fee payment challan will be used for depositing fee. (For example: If one has registered on 12.01.2012, then he/she will be able to deposit the fee from 14th to 17th January, 2012, considering 15th is a non- working day). Once fee paid, the registration process is completed.

Hi what does it mean by special recruitment drive for ST/SC?
What is the age limit for ST clerical job? Is there any age relaxation?

Special recruitment drive for SC/ST:
As this is a special drive for SC/ST/OBC candidates, General category candidates including PWD [GEN]& XS[GEN] candidates cannot apply under Special Recruitment Drive.

Age limit and relaxation for ST:
Age: (As on 01.12.2011)
Minimum Age : 18 years ; Maximum Age : 28 years (as on 01.12.2011). Candidates born between 30.11.1983 & 01.12.1993 are only eligible to apply.
For SC/ST, the upper age limit will be relaxed upto 5 years

i am 23 year old, only ssc passed candidate. am i eligible for the post?

Detailed information regarding the written examination will be given in the
‘Acquaint Yourself’ booklet, which will be made available to the eligible candidates along with the call letter for the test.

The booklet will contain the syllabus for the exam.

The Call letter details not available yet in the official website. The details according to the initial announcement should have been available in the website on 5th of March. However, be assured that they have not posted them yet. keep a watch on sbi's official website

Candidates to take a printout of the system generated fee payment challan immediately. No change/ edit will be allowed thereafter.

Changes at this stage are not permitted. Thats what the documentation says.

Sir,
On 27-5-2012 APPSC is conducting Group I Preliminary Examination. Lakhs of UN-Employed have applied both for Group I and SBI Clerical Jobs. On 3rd June APPSC is conducting Forest Range Officers Examination. For the benefit of lakhs of UN-Employed why can't you help them by selecting some other dates ?

sir, I sat for written exam for sbi clerk on 27.05.2012.
Venue : St. Patricks School, G T Road, Asansol-4, WB.
session : afternoon, room no. 9 (block A).
Exam timing was 2:30 pm to 4:45 pm.

Invigilator took our copy 5 minutes earlier without even a warning bell or oral declaration, which is always done 5 minute before collecting copies in any exam. I could not mark my answer of last 45 question i.e Q.156 to Q.200, whereas I answered those question in my question paper. Right options are written at left margin just beside question numbers.
