Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, offers ‘IISc Young Fellowship for toppers in PUC/ 12th Std.

Eligibility:
If you are a topper in PUC/12 Standard with Mathematics as one of the subjects of study (within top 20 ranks of the PU Board/university examination or equivalent), you have an excellent opportunity to become an “IISc Young Science Fellow”. In case, where ranks are not declared by the Boards like CBSE/ICSE, candidate must obtain a high level of distinction of the Board or be within the top of the students taking the examination. In the absence of this data, suitable criterion shall be evolved by IISc. To be eligible, you need to pursue a career in Science, viz., Physics, Chemistry, mathematics or Biology in any College/University of your choice in India.

Value:You are paid travel and stay expenses. IISc contributes partially towards payment of your tuition fees and Rs. 1500/ per annum towards purchase of books.

Value: If selected you are invited to spend one month during May-June every year at the Indian Institute of Science where you are exposed to contemporary scientific research.
