The Programme:
** At present only 1 fellow per session. MDS (OMFS), FDSRCS/FFDRCSI, MS (ENT/ Gen Surgery), MCh Plastic. We may also consider MSc in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery from some European Universities.

Duration 1yr.
** Compulsory residential position with single accommodation at the Institute (free of cost). Sustainance allowance Rs 10,000 only per month.
** There is no sub speciality stress, the programme covers the FULL platter of Maxillofacial Surgery exposure; from implants and impactions to advanced Head & Neck Surgery like the skull base and craniofacial staff. We have also just started a cleft project in collaboration with Future Faces, UK.
** Additional duties will include an Honorary Registrar position at the Fortis Hospitals, Kolkata in the Maxillofacial Unit.
** THIS IS NO UNIVERSITY / DCI PROGRAMME, it is recognized wherever in India and abroad, Dr Srijon Mukherji is recognized.

Average number of cases in the logbook of Fellows:
** 250 GA cases across the board, at the end of 1yr. Many more minors and LA cases (about 100 implants per yr).
** The position may be quite hectic at times and somewhat boring at few other times as work is solely dependant on private patient flow.
** The Fellow must publish at least one national level in six months.
Own digital camera is essential. Two wheeler driving skill will be helpful but not mandatory.
** Fellow will be examined by a board of senior faculties for grading the knowledge & skill acquired, at the end of term.
